Sapta Sagaradache Ello

S o i decided to watch Sapta Sagaradachello. My memory of the movie is me coming out of the theatre, all alone, my nose running, eyes red and sleeves full wet with tears and it wasn't even the first time. I watched it in the big screens during BIFFES and before that in Prime Video. L ately people have been telling me that I am laughing too much and I'll soon cry, like seriously jinxing my happiness? But whatever. I decided to take things into my own hands and was like yeah let's watch it. 1 0 minutes into the film, I start bawling my eyes out. By the end of Side B, my pillow was soaking wet. I cried so bad that I had to ice my eyes before heading to office.   T he entire movie is my biggest fear in life, being left out in love, giving up love for love, cause i ain't that selfless. I would have hold on to Manu, he could have not met me the entire time and I still would have waited for him. B ut more than my Manu pushing me off, what if I become Manu? What if I know t...

The Archies

Image
The Archies is a 2023 Bollywood movie written and directed by Zoya Akhtar, it is co written by Reema Kagti. The movie has casted star kids like Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Kushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle and Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones in the lead. This would approximately be the 4th or the 5th movie i had watched this week and this movie destroyed one of my most favourite comics of all time. However, we cannot undermine the effort put into this movie.  It is made like the typical Hollywood Musical with a little bit of Bollywood touch to the backstory and to the flow of the story. The music has been sung by the cast itself and the backdrop and sets were really aesthetically pleasing and it felt the comics came to life with that but it was just the sets. I cannot quite put my finger into it but there was something off with movie. Maybe it could be the actors who portrayed the characters, the cliche dumb friend who has ...

Jawan

So I just finished watching Jawan: Extended Cut on Netflix. And there is a lot to cover honestly. This article contains spoilers, so beware. So I disseminated the whole movie into 3 parts and I'll discuss them separately. Plot and storyline  Characters  Music So coming towards the plot and storyline of the movie, the story was typical Atlee plot and there were a lot of similarities between his previous stories and this one. Atlee has something for double roles and it could be seen in his earlier hits - Bigil and Mersal. The story was actually good, looking through the glass of social responsibility a citizen should have. The movie talked about 3 issues India faced in the years free from colonization that did not gain the importance it should have like - farmer suicides, Corporate investment in elections, Bofors Scandal and Gorakhpur Tragedy. Bofors Scandal was not properly addressed but the essence of it and the main outline of it had been mentioned in the form of Vijay Sethup...
